Inspired by Shri.Damodar Rajanarsimha

This blog is an initiative maintained by the followers of  SANTH RAVIDAS GURUJI.

We wish all our Blog members and visitors a very happy and prosperous Shri Ram Navami

The great saint of the 15th century: Guru Ravidass Ji taught the lessons of universal brotherhood, tolerance, message of love your neighbour, which got more importance in today's world.
Guru Ravidass Ji fulfilled Guru Nanak Dev Ji's request by donating old manuscripts, which contained a collection of Guru Ravidass Ji's verses and poems. The earliest collection of these poems are available in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. It was compiled by Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Guru of the Sikhs. There are 41 verses of Guru Ravidass Ji in the Sikh Holy Book, Guru Granth Sahib.

It is said that Guru Ravidass Ji disappeared from the world, leaving behind only his footprints. Some believe that Guru Ravidass Ji lived in banaras during his last days, dying a natural death at the age of 126 years.

This blog will have information about the life and times of Santh Ravidas and will also carry features that are of spiritual and Dharmik interest to the people of India and abroad.

After years of struggle and hard work, a dalit has outshined to be a literate and highly educated graduate of engineering. Born in a political family, Damodar rajanarsimha is the son of Congress politician Raja Narsimaha and janabai. Presently he holds the honourable designation of Deputy chief minister of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Damodar Rajanarsimha recently, took keen interest in organizing the first Sri Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Chamar International Conference called upon the Dalits to repose strong faith in the guru and feel proud of being a Dalit.

He made the entire district of Medak proud by rising to such great heights. In spite of the political protocol that he has, It is his philanthropic outlook towards life that has made him a soft spoken and Kind hearted man. His humble personality speaks volumes about his helping nature.

The Relevance of Santh RaviDas Guruji's Teachings in Today's World

Today we all are going to places of faith and worship. We all are equally getting our share to reach God in our own ways. Temples no longer stop devotees or scan their caste for entry. But for some places which are still under the dark clouds of pathetic discrimination, those who can be outcast from today's world. Such obsolete people should be written off into oblivion for good.

If we are able to enjoy our faith and follow religion and worship our God with free will today, all this credit goes to one holy spirit and Sadguru Sri Sri Sri Santh Ravidas guru ji only.

There have been social reformers, leaders who have been following his path and teachings to enlighten brotherhood and fight for equal justice. All these offshoots are inspirations of the first strain of spiritual DNA of that of Santh Ravidas JI. Follow his teachings for peace and prosperity

Jai Ho Santh Ravidas guruji ki Jai

We have reports of caste oppression, brahminical domination, upper caste atrocities even now. So imagine India in the 15th century; times when Kings ruled, times when Jagirdars were in supreme power, the peasant had to live in fear, guilt and suppression.

Only the higher caste people had the privilege to see the deities of God and enter the temple premises. The lower caste was outcast and did not even have the right to dream of God.

Such were the times when God sent his messenger, a spiritual guru, a holy soul into one of the lowest caste family of cobblers. He was none other than our beloved Sant Guru Ravidas.

With such less exposure to education of those days, the sant was an enlightened soul by birth that made him the crusader for the oppressed and underprivileged. Being from the “Chamar” community their family business was that of Cobblers. In his initial days he used to run a small business of being a cobbler and used to stitch footwear for a lot of piligrims. Because of his generous and benevolent nature he severed losses and had to face hard poverty.

But his love for Lord Rama kept him strong from within to make other lives stronger.

Though he was an outcast over a period of time he earned the respect of the priests and other higher ups of the society who used to prostrate in respect of Sant Ravidas guru ji.

Facing unbearable casteism and unfair prejudice, though he was not allowed to follow Hinduism or any faith to worship God, Sant Ravidas humbly preached and spread the message of Love, peace and equality.

Time and again he proved to all those who discriminated that nothing can stop a man from acquiring the devotion of God. All humans are one and God is one to them. God never discriminates, it is we who find differences and create limitations in self interest for self gains. God is one and all have the right to worship and pray.

In modern times, his sayings and preaching’s are moral courage boosters to all underprivileged, oppressed and suppressed castes.

"The pond is still till we throw a pebble into it. Ripples are created but they too die down to leave the pond still again."

These are times when mankind is mostly disturbed by pressures, competition, struggles, jealousies and so on.

Trust and genuine intent is missing in most of the people. Whom to believe? is a million dollar question. Everything and everybody seems to be genuine and honest, but every body is not. Knowing pretty well all these facts, we still tend to fall prey in many circumstances.

So believe the Pond and not the stone thrower.

Peace is the solution for all problems.

Spiritual Gurus like Santh Ravidas have left their teachings for people like us to enlighten us that solutions are sought with peace. Peace always leads to equilibrium. Peace is never disturbing. Peace is harmony.

What looked like a task herculean for people under suppression of higher castes was the mission impossible in 15th century for a lower caste human being to oppose the thought of inequality; this was made simple by one strong spiritual soul Santh Ravidas to stand for the underprivileged section of society in peaceful methods of preaching that convinced the community heads to prostrate in front of the saint.

Let peace prevail. That is the best way to honor and worship a holy Saint.

Jai Ho Sri Sri Sri Santh Ravidas guruji
